The IU School of Social Work 2008 admission cycle has ended as of June 2nd. All applicants who are interested in applying for the 2009 year may access the application from this website in October of 2008. This application is the same for all four campuses. The IUPUI (Indianapolis) campus has a full-time two year program, three different part-time programs (part-time evening, part-time Saturday, part-time day) which take 3 -4 years to complete, an advanced standing program for people with a CSWE accredited BSW, and a Title IV-E program for child welfare workers. Concentrations in children, families, mental health and substance abuse, health, school social work and leadership are available.
- The Indiana University-Northwest program in Gary offers a part time MSW program. Concentrations are available in mental health/addictions, leadership and in the future, school social work.
- The Indiana University-South Bend program offers a part time MSW program. The concentration in mental health and substance abuse is available.
- IPFW in Fort Wayne offers a part-time evening MSW program with a concentration in Child Welfare. It will begin again in 2008. The contact for that program is Susan Larimer at slarimer@iupui.edu. - Potential new program for 2008: The school is considering adding an MSW part-time evening program at IU East in Richmond, Indiana. This program may begin in 2008, with advance standing students joining the program in 2009. Please contact Ed FitzGerald at efitzger@indiana.edu for more information.
